Why not something like:

Reboot -gateway (name)=20

That could then be used to reboot any node in a cluster not just those
in the same chassis. Could also be used for the bobcat3000 then.=20

Just my 2 cents

Subject: Addition of new system cmd option for resetting
alternate blade=20

Hi folks,=20

I have been requested to add new system command option for Cougar that
allows the alternate blade in the chassis to be rebooted.

It will reduce the need to power cycle the entire chassis when a blade
is hung and unresponsive.=20

Note that it will only work with changes that BrianS made in the BMFPGA
(version 4 or higher). =20
So the command will check the version and return an error if it cannot
be performed as requested.=20

Use of the "reset -s" option name is rather arbitrary so I am open to
renaming it to whatever makes more sense.=20

The help page describes the command as follows:=20

NAME=20

        system reset Reboots the alternate blade of a NAS
Gateway.=20

SYNOPSIS=20

        system reset -s=20

DESCRIPTION=20

        This command causes a remote system reboot in the other blade of
a 6000 series NAS Gateway.=20
        It is useful when a system reboot cannot be reliably performed
from within the blade itself.=20

SEE ALSO=20

        system reboot Reboots the NAS Gateway from the
specified compact flash card.=20

Thanks,=20
